hmmm..Twilight..
I've avoided watching these movies for a long time..mostly (like all snobs) because of the mass attention they've been getting.
But you know, i'm really glad i gave it a chance.

New moon has drama, emotional abuse.. emo love-sick montages, action, 6 packs, sparkling, R-patz and (bro)mance.
I'm glad i saw it, because it just gave me that much more material.

What the fuck is wrong with people, really.
1) how twisted are we (in 2009) that we need to imagine possessed jock/euro fag who wants to fuck/kill you to get off..

Seriously. if someone told me to get into their time machine back in 96, and showed me this as the future...i'd.... probably be just as disappointed actually.

.....2) Apart from the whole beast-lust thing going on (that no one seems to be addressing). There's a lot of weird dependency going on.
The main character is SO pathetic, i think she probably just set women in cinema back about 70 years (which is amazing/impressive!)
I could get into how bad it really is in the movie..but its a MOVIE. Seeing as how it's not real, its fair game..right?
No. Face it, there are a lot of people (mostly teenage girls) out there who, i swear to god: think this shit is real to an extent.
I'm not saying they think that a vampire is really going to come find/obsess over them...or that a werewolf will come to their rescue when the vampire ain't around. Im not saying that. I'm saying, it's becoming clear that it's what these sick fucks secretly WISH would happen.

That frightens me.

3) SEX AND VIOLENCE,
oooh...this one's a classic. Interesting though: It's evolved.
I think pop culture has reached a new level through Twilight..
By fully admitting the appeal of loving something that wants to fuck/kill you, a lot of closet sadists have just come out. THAT"S INCREDIBLE!
When does that ever happen? We have 10, 000,000 people showing a side you never thought you'd see. From your cousin wearing a team Jacob t-shirt, to the girl who eats her emotions reading this mind-fucking shit on the subway...
It's everywhere..

I'm just saying its interesting. You want a glimpse of the world we live in right now, look in that box under your 12 year old's bed.
